This book was great I order it for my husband because he's an inspector for the county and this book prepared him for his builders license test and of course with this book help he passed it he only missed 1 question so he still received an a plus thank god for 6 author of this book
Very helpful a easy to understand must read book for test
perfect prep book for codes exams.
My husband needs to take his B1 Residential Building Inspector and when he got the textbook, it was pretty overwhelming. So, we ordered this study guide and he is feeling much more confident. I will update this review once he takes his exam with whether the study guide was relevant to the actual exam.
Great as a study guide but needs some reconfiguring. B1 is only chapters 1-10 not the whole book. Needs to be able to set chapters to timed test on. Answers need to be in the back not below the questions.
The book advertises itself as everything you need to pass the irc inspectors exam it is far from it. It is literally just a book with hundreds of multiple choice questions with the answer printed in bold immediately beneath it so it's very hard to avoid not seeing it when you read the question. The cd is the same questions just on a computer you get dings when you get it right. I took the irc test 4 times the questions on this are not super accurate to the 2015 version. You will also need a copy of be code book as well as some real world experience this book pails in comparison to John England training.
I bought this book and studied the material well. I consistently got over 95% on the practice quizzes on the CD that is included with this book. I took the ICC's B1 IRC test today ad got a score of 47, while a score of 75 is required to pass. This book has chapters that are not covered in the test and has omitted dozens of questions that are asked. The author's apparently more interested in selling the book than helping people study to pass the test. What a waste of money. I do not recommend this book.
